National Partners

The Safe Routes to School National Partnership's mission is to advocate for safe walking and bicycling to and from schools, and in daily life, to improve the health and well-being of America's children and to foster the creation of livable, sustainable communities. The National Partnership led the first Fire Up Your Feet pilot program and continues to provide core staffing and resources for the national expansion. Fire Up Your Feet began as a pilot program in spring 2011 thanks in part to the leadership and vision of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, who continues to be the exclusive, statewide sponsor of Fire Up Your Feet in Minnesota to launch later this month. Find out more.
